Daal Kachori


    2 cup refined flour
    3 tbsp desi ghee
    ¼ tsp baking powder
    ½ tsp salt
    ½ cup moong dal
    1 tsp saunf
    1/5 tsp garam masala
    ½ tsp red chilli powder
    Salt to taste

Preparation Method

In a frying pan , add oil and heat it. Now add grinded moong dal and cook. Add garam masala, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, salt to taste and mix well. Cook on slow flame.  Remove in a bowl. Roast saunf in another frying pan. Now powder the roasted saunf. Add it to the bowl with the mixture.

In a separate bowl , take refined flour, desi ghee , salt to taste ; add baking powder and with the help of water, knead into a dough.  Cover with a cloth and set aside . Now , make small roundels with a cavity in between with the help of the thumb. Now add the mixture in it and roll into a ball again. Similarly prepare more kachoris. Now, heat oil in a wok, and deep fry till golden brown. Serve hot.
